Orientation Requirement
New REALTOR® members are required to complete orientation within a set period after joining. The ECBOR staff will notify you of the next available session after your application is approved. Failure to complete orientation within the required timeframe may affect your membership status and access to services such as the MLS.
Please note that orientation is separate from state licensing requirements. It is an additional step designed to familiarize you with the responsibilities and advantages of REALTOR® membership at the local, state, and national levels.
Why New REALTOR® Member Orientation Matters
Orientation ensures that every new member understands the values and responsibilities associated with the REALTOR® title. It connects you with the resources you need, sets the tone for your professional conduct, and helps you begin your membership with clarity and confidence.
New Member Orientation is a series of online classes to help new members learn the Code of Ethics and Fair Housing Requirements along with Learning to how navigate the MLS.
As a new member of the Elkhart County Board of REALTORS®, your first step is completing our New Member Orientation. This required program is designed to welcome you to ECBOR and introduce you to the tools, resources, and professional standards that will help you thrive in your real estate career.
Whether you’re brand new to the industry or transitioning from another market, orientation is the best way to get started on the right foot.
