How To Become A Member Of ECBOR
Becoming a member of the Elkhart County Board of REALTORS® is a straightforward process designed to help you get started with confidence. Whether you’re a newly licensed agent, a seasoned professional new to the area, or an industry partner looking to connect, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
This page outlines what you can expect during the application and onboarding process, including required forms, training, and how to activate your membership benefits quickly and smoothly.
Step 1
Choose The Right Membership
Before you begin the application process, determine which type of membership applies to you. If you’re unsure which type is right for you, feel free to contact the ECBOR office for guidance.
- REALTOR® Membership
Available to Indiana real estate licensees who are Managing Brokers or are affiliated with a Managing Broker. - Affiliate Membership
For Individuals who work with or support the real estate industry or want to network with real estate professionals. - MLS Access
For Managing Brokers engaged in real estate brokerage, appraisal, property management, and other related fields who want access to IRMLS data. Or for agents who are affiliated with a Broker who holds Membership with the MLS of Elkhart County.
Step 2
Complete And Submit Your Application
Download the appropriate Membership Documents from ecbor.com or contact ECBOR staff.
ECBOR Staff will review your application for completeness and eligibility. Staff will send a welcome email and schedule a new member intake appointment.
- Attend New Member Intake Meeting
- Process Membership Documents
- Pay APplicable Fees
- Introduction to MLS, IMS, forms, etc.
Step 3
Complete New Member Orientation And Other Membership Requirements
New REALTOR® members must complete the NAR Code of Ethics course for new members, Fair Housing Training Course and Paragon Academy.
- Code of Ethics Course
New REALTOR® members of ECBOR must complete NAR’s New Member Code of Ethics Course within 30 days. - Fair Housing Course
New REALTOR® members of ECBOR must complete NAR’s Fair Housing Course within 90 days of joining - MLS Orientation
New REALTOR® members who joined the MLS must complete the Paragon Academy training courses as part of New member orientation. Note: Participants who apply for a New MLS office must also complete MLS Office Orientation.
Step 4
Access Member Tools & Services
During New Member Intake, members will receive login credentials for all important systems, including:
- MLS System (Paragon)
Access the MLS system, tax solution, showingtime, and more. - Supra Key App & Lock Boxes
Learn how to use the key app and lock boxes. - Internet Member Services (IMS)
Manage your member profile, pay invoices, register for classes and events, and more.
Step 5
Stay Connected and Get Involved
The ECBOR community thrives on connection, collaboration, and shared success. As a new member, we encourage you to
- Complete New Member Orientation.
- Sign up for ECBOR’s newsletters and alerts.
- Join a Committee – Attend Membership Meetings – Participate in Events
- Reach out to fellow members and Affiliates to build your network.
